James Doohan has passed on. James claim to fame primarily was the role of Montgomery Scott in the TV series Star Trek, a role which Gene Roddenberry created specifically for Mr Doohan! James served with distinction in the Canadian Army as an engineer of course! We're gonna miss Jimmy!

A Canticle For Liebowitz- Walter M. Miller Jr.

This is an older book, written in 1959. Walter M Miller is an extremely good storyteller. "Canticle" takes place long after a devestating nuclear war and the Catho;ic Church is all that is holding the remains of civilization together. We have entered a new Dark Age! Brother Francis of Utah finds relics of the "Blessed Leibowitz" and the story rolls off to the future! By the way, a side note: The programmer of the program "Dragonspeak" must be a fan of the book!
